Almost August?!

It finally hit me today that the summer is almost over. The friendly FedEx guy, (Okay, lets be honest, I never see him because he doorbell ditches me and leaves my package, but who can blame him? It's 400 billion degrees outside! I'm going to assume that he is friendly though. Plus, anyone who leaves me boxes full of new, fun purchases is a friend of mine!) delivered some cute new shoes for the girls. Yes, they are cute, but something is terribly wrong with them! They aren't sandals!! That can only mean one thing. School is getting ready to start!! Only 3 and a half more weeks, and I will have TWO school-goers!! I don't like it... not one bit! We love summer. We love waking up whenever we want, lounging at the pool soaking up the sun, and wasting our day's doing absolutely nothing. In a few short weeks, that's all over. Macey will brave the cafeteria for the first time, and have to experience the mixed smells of tater tots and corn. Eww! Brighton will start Kindergarten and have to get up for a short 2.5 hours of school... less time than her pre-school last year! But lets face it, where else would she get to make macaroni necklaces and learn to share? As for Faith and I, well I suppose we will find a rec center class or two to attend while the "big" girls are in school. Or we will hit the stores and get errands done. All of this talk of school is making me throw up in my mouth, so I suppose I will wrap this up. I think I shall make it a goal not to talk about, think about, or prepare for _ _ _ _ _ _ (starts with an S), for one more week. We will wear our flip flops, swim, and bask in the 110 degree's without worry for just a little longer. Oh, and take some pictures too!

Why are you lamenting your life? I can't wait for Katelyn to go to school so I can get some chores done. I guess I might miss her a little. Okay, maybe alot, but still. I am a little sad about the summer ending, too.

I was always sooo ready for summer to end. You must be a much better mother than I am. For me it means back to work now. Yuck! Actually I love my job but I love not working more!

So we have another entire month to lounge around here doing nothing- I put 290 miles on the car doing "nothing" in a mere four days last week!!! I too, will be putting Owen in a 2 day a week preschool IF I can get him potty trained by labor day!!!!!!

Can you send your fed-ex guy over here? I love the shoes. And while he's coming anyway, he can bring VM Season 3 and some chocolate chip cookies. (Okay, I'm mostly kidding.) You take the best pictures.

I'm with you, I feel like the summer has gone by too fast :( Buying school supplies put me in a bad mood!

Even though they aren't flip flops those little plaid shoes are way cute!
